En Block and Mastopexy Implant Removal
This patient originally had saline implants placed, but had a revision six months later including an implant exchange with textured round silicone gel implants placed. After 20 years, the implants have become quite heavy and causing intermittent severe pain issues. She tried several conservative care measures, but had no real improvement. She was interested in having them permanently removed and reconstructive breast lift to avoid the deflated appearance after implant removal. Because of her textured implants and Breast Implant Illness (BII) symptoms, the decision was made to use the en bloc technique for her removal. At her final post-operative appointment, she was extremely happy with her results, both with breast size and aesthetics.
