En Block and Mastopexy Implant Removal

Ten years ago, this patient had 375 cc saline implants placed after having children. Within the last 2 years, her right breast became firm, hard and painful. Symptoms progressively worsened to the point where it impacted her daily life, including sleep. Because she desired permanent implant removal, she elected to have en bloc capsulectomy, removing the capsule with the implant intact and inside the capsule, and a reconstructive mastopexy. Six months after surgery, she was very happy.
