En Block Implant Removal

10 years earlier, this 42-year-old had breast augmentation using Allergan Natrelle round 375cc gel implants. She developed a contracture in her left breast that caused the implant to drop out of position. It was painful initially, and now has increased to the point where it impacted her daily activities. She also had other symptoms associated with Breast Implant Illness (BII) including chronic fatigue and muscle aches. Because she was interested in permanent implant removal, Dr. Leonard recommended an en bloc implant removal, which removes the capsule intact with the implant still inside. Her final post-op appointment was 8 months after surgery and she reported a very dramatic improvement in her symptoms. She was very happy with her surgery results!
