En Block Implant Removal

This 61-year-old woman had implants originally placed in 1982, and then a remove and replace in 1992. Her implants were saline, filled to 450-475cc. She had capsular contracture with both implants causing significant pain and for this reason decided to have them permanently removed. She opted to have an en bloc implant removal. 6 months after surgery, she is quite happy that her chest pain and other systemic symptoms have improved by at least 50%. She is considering future fat grafting to fill the upper breast deficit left from implant removal.
