Expander Implants
This 43 year old woman was diagnosed with right breast ductal carcinoma in situ (LCIS). She attempted breast conservation, but had positive margins in biopsy. She went on to be treated with bilateral mastectomy and immediate placement of breast tissue expanders. Final implants used were smooth, round high profile silicone gel. The finishing touch of her reconstruction was tattooing of the nipple and areolar. Post op photos are a couple months after she finished with tattooing. The reconstruction took approximately 18 months and she is very happy with her results.
