Patient A.
Expander Implants
This 49 year old woman had a less common diagnosis of left breast lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS). After consultations with both her surgical oncologist and Dr. Leonard, she chose treatment with a double mastectomy and immediate placement of breast tissue expanders. Her mastectomies were nipple sparing, which maintains a natural appearance in the final reconstruction. Her final implants were moderate profile silicone gel and a size she felt fit her body. She did well with all of her surgeries and is really happy with the natural reconstruction and her full final breast size.
