Patient A.
Remove & Replace
This 48 year old female had previous breast augmentation and breast lift with smooth silicone gel implants. she developed progressive and worsening capsular contracture, moving the implants up the chest wall, causing deformity. It was painful as well. She came in for a consultation for a revision of her earlier surgery. During her consultation, she was made aware that she would need to re-lift the nipple complex to a more appropriate position in addition to new implants and capsulectomy (removal of scar tissue around the implants) to redevelop a natural shape, feel, and look to the breast. The implants selected were high profile, textured silicone gel. Textured implants were used as evidence shows that they have a decreased incidence of recurrent capsular contracture. She was vey happy with her late results and felt all of her goals were achieved.
